The Baltic Transport Journal has been following TransBaltic since its very beginning by featuring the project’s newsletters and producing articles on the project’s findings. The journal is now dedicated to a last task of verifying the incentives, derived from the TransBaltic studies, with the market and decision-makers. Professionals from the public and business sector is confronted with summaries of TransBaltic’s outcomes and the results of the discussions will be presented in 3 so called “Think Tank” issues.

Think Tank No.3 features:

  • the potential of the inland waterway transport (Dr. Capt. Jan Pyś, Director of the Inland Navigation Office in Wrocław)
  • small port’s agenda at the EU level (Peter Zoné, Operations Manager at Port of Hargshamn)
  • capacity pressures in the BSR by 2030 (Stig Hjerppe, TransBaltic WP 3 Manager from the Region Västerbotten)
  • the importance of the human factor in the transport sector (Ingo Kuhlbrodt, TransBaltic Task “Human capacity building in transport operations” consultant)
