Boliden is a leading European metals company whose core competence is in the fields of exploration, mining, smelting and recycling. Their main metals are zinc and copper. The number of employees at Boliden is about 4,400 and the turnover amounts to approximately SEK 28 billion annually. Rönnskär smelter, located in Skelleftehamn (Skellefteå port area) and part of Boliden’s business, is one of the world’s most efficient copper smelters and largest facilities for the recycling of copper and precious metals.

The study visit will give you some information about the company, some insights to their logistics and transport related issues and a guided tour on the premises.
