study tour at nordic logistic center

Region Västerbotten, Umeå Municipality and INAB invite participants at the TransBaltic conference 2011 to take part in a study tour to Nordic Logistic Center in Umeå 10 May 2011.

The aim of the proposed study tour is to get to know more about how national as well as European transports of goods are affected by the structural changes due to the recent and great investments on the Bothnian Line railroad (190 km new railroad that started to operate autumn 2010) and the new combined goods terminal NLC Terminal.


13.00 – Gathering at Umeå Airport

13.10 – Bus trip to Nordic Logistic Center via recently finished infrastructural investments as well as ongoing constructions

14.00 – Arriving at Nordic Logistic Center where representatives from Nordic Logistic Center and ISS TraffiCare describes the business from a hands-on perspective.

15.15 – Light meal combined with presentations of the work undertaken by Region Västerbotten to further support the potential development of the Bothnian Line railroad and the Nordic Logistic Center.


16.30 – Bus trip from Umeå to the Conference Venue in Skellefteå

18.45 – Estimated arrival in Skellefteå

Travel arrangements: The recommendation is that you arrive to Umeå Airport and depart from Skellefteå Airport.
